• Tenders are invited for Hiring of Full Body (Alluminium) Lorry for Mt Section Kdu 1 a Type Full body (Aluminum) with rear door covered truck b Hiring method Wet lease with driver c Hiring period One year d Operating area Island wide e Payment method Monthly basis on credit 2 Technical Specification a Make To be indicated by supplier b Model Full body (Aluminum) with rear door covered truck c Country of origin Western /Japanese and Asian preferable d Year of manufacture 2012 or later preferred e Dimension of truck body 18x7x8 or above (Aluminum body) f Seating capacity 02 comfortable seats g Interior condition Should be in good condition h Engine type 4 or 6 cylinder inline i Engine capacity 2000-4000cc j Fuel type Diesel k Fuel capacity 90 Liters or above l Fuel consumption 4-8 km per liter m Transmission Manual/ Auto 3 Following accessories/ Features should be available a Comfortable seats with head rest b Seat belt for all seats c Other special features/ options of the vehicle to be clearly indicated by the supplier 4 Hiring terms/ conditions to be indicated by the supplier a Charges per month on wet lease b Maximum allowable mileage per month should be 3000km c Charges per additional kilo meters d Payment terms e Any other charges applicable 5 Replacement in case of accident/ brake down of vehicle Contractor should provide same type of replacement vehicle with in shortest possible time (Max. 36 hours) 6 Vehicle revenue license & comprehensive insurance coverage Vehicle should be insured with comprehensive insurance policy and processes with valid green test certificate and valid revenue license. (The cost incurred for testing and certificates should be borne by the contractor) 7 Maintenance, repairs and accident damage repairs All routine maintenance break down repairs and accident damage repairs should be carried out by the contractor 8 Remarks Vehicles will be inspected by an officer prior to final accepting Performance Bond/Guarantee. A Successful Bidder shall Furnish a Performance Bond/Guarantee in the Form of “on Demand” & “Unconditional” Bank/Insurance Guarantee for a Sum Equivalent to 10% of the Contract Value for Every Contract that Exceeds Rs. 2,000,000.00 or Equivalent Amount in Foreign Currency through a Recognized Commercial Bank Registered in Sri Lanka or through an Insurance Company Authorized by the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka to Issue Such Performance Guarantee for this Purpose, within Two Weeks from the Date of Notification of Award. The Bidder must Duly Sign at the Last Page (before Annexes)of this Document Indicating the Name of the Signatory and the Name of the Company & Place the Company Common Seal to Confirm the Acceptance of Tender Conditions. The Bid/S that do not Include Authorized Signature will be Rejected. The Bid/S Duly Signed by the Bidder Enclosed and Sealed in an Appropriate Cover Addressed to the following Address should be Sent by Registered Post or could be Deposited in the Appropriate Tender Box Placed at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Kandawala Estate, Ratmalana(at the Main Entrance of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University) on or before the Time & Date Specified for the Closing of Tender. The Tender Reference Number, Date & Time of Closing Tender should be Indicated & Underlined at the Top Left Corner of the Envelop. Preference will be Given for Early Delivery. In Case of Bulk Supplies for Locally Manufactured Items, the Delivery of Total Quantity must be Completed within 120 Days of Signing of Contract, Unless Mutually Agreed for Extended Delivery Period with General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University
