• Tenders are invited for Improvements to the (100 X 20) Building of the Gampoia Teachers Centre at Gampoia Teacher Training School Value of Bid Security if a Bank Draft (Rs.): 6000/- Value of the Bid Security in Cash (Rs.) : 3000/- Further details regarding this may be obtained from the Chief Engineer of the Central Provincial Department of Education (Tel. No. 081-2225494) and the relevant bid documents may be inspected between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. on working days at the above office. Bid forms and documents in English language may be obtained between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. from 01.10.2021 until 21.10.2021 on submission of the receipt obtained from the Chief Accountant of the Central Provincial Department of Education upon payment of bid document fee of Rs. 2,000.00 for Item No. 01 under the TEDP project and Rs. 1000.00 each for other works under GEMP project and a written request to the Chief Engineer. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10.00 a.m. on 13.10.2021 at the Office of the Chief Engineer of this department and it is mandatory that the bidders or their representatives attend this pre-bid meeting. Sealed bids in duplicate as Original and Duplicate may either be deposited in the bid box kept at the Accounts Division in the First Floor of this department or be sent by registered post addressed to "Chairman, Procurement Committee, Central Provincial Department of Education, Kandy" to receive before 10.00 a.m. on 22.10.2021 and the bids received late will be rejected. Bids will be opened at 10.15 a.m. after closing of bids. Bidders or their authorized representatives may be present at the time of opening of bids. Bids should be valid for 77 days. All bids should either be accompanied by a bid security to the value mentioned in the schedule below against each work valid up to 05.02.2022 obtained from a reputed bank recognized by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka or the receipt obtained upon payment in cash to the Chief Accountant of the Provincial Department of Education. Bid security should be drawn in favour of "Provincial Director, Central Provincial Department of Education, Kandy". Please call on Tel.
