• Tenders are invited for Maintaining Services of Goods Sheds, Restaurants (Canteens) and Small Sales Outlets Goods Shed (Stores) in Colombo Goods Shed (Stores) Complex 14 Goods Sheds (Stores) in the Colombo Goods Shed (Stores) Complex situated in Colombo City Centre will be leased for storing of goods for two years. (Tender applications may be obtained up to 2.00 p.m. on 06.12.2021 and the perfected applications should be submitted before 2.00 p.m. on 07.12.2021. Applications will be opened at 2.00 p.m. on 07.12.2021.) Goods Sheds (Stores) in Outstation Goods Sheds (Stores) of the Department of Railways situated in the following places will be leased for a period of two years. Obtaining Bjd Applications Tender applications may be obtained until the date mentioned below the above said Goods Sheds, Canteens and Small Sales Outlets and a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- should be paid to obtain a set of tender applications. Tender applications may be obtained from the relevant Railway Stations or Trading and Marketing Division of the Railway Headquarters between 09.00 hrs and 15.00 hrs on weekdays. If anyone is applying for more than one Goods Shed, Canteen or Small Sales Outlet should submit separate applications for each of them. Bids should be submitted as per the conditions and instructions that have been provided. Bids should be submitted separately, considering all the items in Schedule 01 as separate. A refundable bid bond as mentioned in the schedule also should be paid in addition to the bid form fee. Submission of Bid Applications All applications obtained for each Goods Shed, Canteen and Small Sales Outlet should be duly perfected in duplicate as Original and Duplicate, inserted in separate covers and sealed and the covers should be clearly marked "Original and Duplicate". Both covers should be reinserted in a single cover and the name of the Goods Shed, Canteen or Small Sales Outlet should be mentioned on the left hand top corner of the envelope and may either be sent by registered post addressed to "Chairman, Departmental Procurement Committee, Trading and Marketing Office, Railway headquarters, Olcott Mawatha, Colombo 10" or deposited in the special Tender Box kept in the official room of the Deputy Superintendent of Trading and Marketing at the Railway Headquarters. Late applications will be rejected. Applications delayed or misplaced in post will not be taken into consideration.
