• Tenders are invited for Procurement of 1,500,000 No-S Electric Detonators 4mtr for Cefap Unit of Sri Lanka Navy SHORT DELAY (NOS 0-9) ELECTRIC DETONATORS 4 MTR (MILLI SECONDS) (01) Construction Aluminum shell filled with ASA (Lead Azide, Lead styphnate & Aluminum Powder) or ANHN mixture (mixer of Nickel Hydrazine Nitrate & Aluminum powder) as primary charge and PETN (penta Erythritol Tetra Nitrate) as secondary or base charge. These Detonators should have delay numbers ranging 0 to 9 with a nominal time interval of 25 milliseconds between successive delay numbers from 0 to 6, 50 milliseconds for 7 & 8 and 75 milliseconds for 9. (02) Shell :- Aluminum with a conical depression at the bottom, length varying for different delay numbers. (03) Strength :- No. 6 or 8 (04) Leg (lead) wire colour :- Should specify (05) Shell diameter :- 6 .50 + 0.05 mm (06) Leg (lead) wire diameter :- 24 SWG iron wire (07) Leg (lead) wire resistance :- 0.6 to 0.7 ohms / m (08) Leg (lead) wire length :- 4 mtr (09) Fuse head resistance :- 1.6 to 2.0 ohm (10) Firing impulse :- 3.0 to 3.2 mj / ohm (11) Minimum Firing current per series :- 1.0 to 1.2 amps (12) No firing (no initiation current) :- 0.18 amps (13) Year of Manufacture :- Current (14) Shelf life :- Minimum of 05 years (15) Packing :- Each case should contain detonators of the same delay number only. Five detonators are held in bunch and five such bunches are bundled to make a bundle of 25 detonators. Two bundles of 25 detonators each wrapped in kraft paper, made into a packet, and suitably labeled 20 to 50 such packets are placed in a wooden case, inside of which is lined with water proof paper. The case is fastened with plastic straps or wires and each case should indicate date of manufacture and date of expiry / shelf life. Entire consignment is desired in 20 foot containers.
