• Description:
• Tenders are invited for Project Management and Supervision Consultants (PMSC). The proposed Water Supply Improvement Project will rehabilitate and expand water supply coverage to about 155,000 households and improve the operational efficiency of services and management to provide safe, efficient, and climate-resilient water supply service in eight towns in the Western and Southern provinces of Sri Lanka. It will promote (i) efficient use of resources through non-revenue water (NRW) reduction and district metering area (DMA) approach, (ii) reduction of water supply levels discrepancies in rural and urban areas, and (iii) switching from groundwater to surface water source. The project will be aligned with the following impact: sustainable and resilient water solutions provided. 1 The outcome will be access to efficient, reliable, and safe water supply increased. The outputs are (i) water supply infrastructure improved and (ii) institutional and community capacity strengthened. The project will be financed by a regularly ordinary capital resources (OCR) loan of $200 million. The ensuing loan and this technical assistance (TA) are listed under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) indicative country pipeline and monitoring (ICPM) report 2022-2024
