• Science and Technology Human Resource Development Project - STHRD/PMU/CS-43 Recruitment of PMC Services for the Design and Construction of Proposed Building Complex to Establish Laboratories for the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry for the FOM, UOM Approval Date: 30-Aug-2018 Deadline of Submitting EOI: 25-Oct-2022 11:59 PM Manila local time Estimated Short-listing Date: 07-Nov-2022 Estimated Commencement Date: 02-Jan-2023 Estimated Commencement Date: 69,600 USD Engagement Period: 15 MONTH Objective and Purpose of the Assignment The PMC should proactively ensure that all activities are aligned with the university-s overall goals and objectives for the project by planning, managing, and fine-tuning all of the details before, during, and after the execution of the design-and-build contract. Specific objectives of this PMC package under the project are the following: (i) Review and assess the existing project related information available with the PMU and FOM, UOM. (ii) Prepare project (contract) management plan which includes master project time schedule and work breakdown structure to support PMU and FOM, UOM. (iii) Assist the PMU and FOM, UOM on design-and-build contract management. (iv) Monitor the civil works based on environmental management plan for UOM and ADB-s safeguards policy requirements. (v) Review and approve the architectural design, structural design, design requirements for medical laboratories, electrical, plumbing, data cabling and mechanical designs of the design-and-build contractor. (vi) Ensure the project adopt green building requirements and promote to develop innovative learning environments. (vii) Assess and enforce, on behalf of the Client, the adequacy of the Contractor-s inputs in terms of material, equipment, construction machinery, workers, and construction approach and methodologies as per the best accepted construction management practices. (viii) Supervise all construction works to ensure quality of works as per technical specification, drawings, and condition of contract using modern and computerized systems of project monitoring. (ix) Ensure the constructions are in accordance with the required standards, on time, compliance of all structural requirements, environmental compliances, and gender requirements through full time close supervision, inspection and monitoring.
