• Tenders are invited for Rehabilitation of Pre School Building including Daycare Center at Nie Maharagama Premises The Pre School Building including Daycare Center consisting of all required physical resources is to enhance the capabilities of 21st century child. The proposed work consists of converting the existing Preschool to a model pre-school building which contains modern facilities considering international concepts. Approximate floor area of the building is about 625 m2. The work comprises finishing works, air conditioning system, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, PA system and Intercom system and external works, etc. The Construction period is 270 days. Interested bidders may obtain further information from Director (Engineering Services), National Institute of Education, P.O. Box 21, High Level Road, Maharagama. (Tel+94-11 7601600 / 117601601) and inspect the Bidding Documents during normal working hours from 9.00 a. m. to 4.00 p.m. from 07/10/2021 until 27/10/2021. A complete set of the Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Deputy Director General (Administration, Finance & Support Services) at the above address from 07/10/2021 until 27/10/2021 from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Sri Lankan Rupees Thirteen Thousand (Rs. 13,000.00) made to A/C No 607628 - Director General, NIE (Bank of Ceylon branch situated in the NIE premises). A site visit will be conducted commencing at 09:30 Hours on 21/10/2021 (Thursday), and a pre-bid meeting would be held immediately after the site visit at the same address.. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security for the sum of Sri Lankan Rupees seven hundred thirty five thousand (Rs. 735,000.00), and shall be a bank guarantee in the format and validity period as per instructions given in the Bidding Document.
