  • Quotation are invited for Renovation of Roof at Customer Service Center Building Boralesgamuwa The tenderer is advised to visit the site of the proposed works,it is his responsibility to ascertain the conditions governing the access to site,external working space, storage areas etc. No additional payments made to above unless other wise stated. Preliminary items which are not specified below cost of such items should be included to unit rates of other items as per CIDA Publications. specially, remuneration of contractors Site staff temporary accommodations , sanitary facilities etc, Water and Electricity required for works shall be supplied by the LECO Note Contractor shall not carry out any work in such a manner as to cause any nuisance to adjacent owners or the public. Contractor is advised to cooperate with the Employer in maintaining an environment as free of excessive noise and dust pollution as much as possible. Note The Contractor shall be responsible for protecting and safeguarding the works, materials and plants against damage, trespass, etc.., Note 1A/01 Allow Lump sum for providing Performance Bond. 1 Item 1A/02 Allow sum for Temporary shed for storage materials such as cement , steel etc. 1 Item 1A/03 Allow for removal of all rubbish and completion of all works 1 Item Total Carried to Grand Summary 2A/- DEMOLISHING (a) All tenderers are advised to visit site and make careful study of all existing conditions and the nature and extent of work to be done under this contract, as no extras will be allowed on the plea of want of information due to negligence of on their part in this regard. Note (b) All demolished materials, except those required to be stacked shall be carted away during the demolition operation. Contractor shall be removed damaged timber members only and contractor shall get an approval from employer's authorized person before removal of damaged timber members. Note OWNERSHIP OF RECOVERED MATERIAL (a) Usable materials arising from demolitions shall be the property of the employer and shall be stacked within site as directed. Note (b) The Contractor shall carefully remove and stack within site all such materials and goods and shall ensure the safety of such items, it is the responsibility of the Contractor to hand over such items to an authorised representative of the employer. Note 2A/01 Carefully removing existing ridge covering. Rate to include for stacking on site as per the Engineer-s instruction in purpose of hand over to employer and clearing debris away from the site. 77 m 2A/0 2 Carefully removing existing tile roof covering. Rate to include for stacking on site as per the Engineer-s instruction in purpose of hand over to employer and clearing debris away from the site. 350 m 2 2A/0 3 Carefully removing existing gutters and down pipe. Rate to include for stacking on site as per the Engineer-s instruction in purpose of hand over to employer and clearing debris away from the site.(if required) 155 m 2A/0 4 Carefully removing existing valance board. Rate to include for stacking on site as per the Engineer-s instruction in purpose of hand over to employer and clearing debris away from the site.(if required) 2A/0 5 Carefully removing of damages ridge plate from existing timber roof frame work as per the Engineers instruction. Rate to include stacking on site and clearing debris away from the site. 1 m Rate Only 2A/0 6 Carefully removing of damages wall plate from existing timber roof frame work as per the Engineers instruction. Rate to include stacking on site and clearing debris away from the site. 1 m Rate Only 2A/0 7 Carefully removing of damages purlin from existing timber roof frame work as per the Engineers instruction. Rate to include for clearing debris away from site. 50 m 2 Total Carried to Summary 2B/- ROOF COVERING AND ROOF PLUMBING The Bidder is requested to refer the General Notes, Pricing Preambles, Drawings, Specifications, Conditions of Contract and other relevant documents of local statutory requirements prior to pricing of the following items. Note Bill No. 01 Renovation of Roof at CSC Building Boralesgamuwa 3 Item No Description of Work Qty Unit Rate Amount The Contractor shall get conformation from the Engineer prior laying of roof covering. Note Roof Covering 2B/01 Supplying and fixing Zinc Aluminium colour bonded steel roofing sheets (0.47 gauge) on existing frame work using nut & bolt or self tapping screws. 400 m 2 2B/02 Supplying and fixing Zinc Aluminium colour bonded standard steel ridge cap to existing sheet roof using new self tapping screws. 77 m 2B/03 225mm x20mm Kempus, Valance boards fixed with " L " iron Brackets to purlins , treating with one coat of primer and two coats of enamel paint. (if required) 110 m Roof Plumbing 2B/04 Supplying and fixing of 0.47mm thick (minimum thickness) zincalume approved colour bonded straight gutter of 450mm (type "A" METROOF or equivalent approved) fix to valance board (measured separately) with necessary gutter brackets at 1000mm C/C with an including necessary extras as per detail drawing.(if required) 110 m 2B/05 Supplying and fixing of 0.47 mm thk. (minimum thickness) zincalume hitensile straight, 150x100mm square type approved colour bonded rain water down pipe, fix to columns with standard down pipe clips at 1000mm C/C with an including necessary extras as per detail drawing.(if required) 85 m 2B/06 Supplying and fixing of 0.47mm thick (minimum thickness) 457mm width Hitensile (Grade-550) Colour Zinc Aluminium sheet valley gutter, fixing to roof with self trapping screws. Rate shall include for 25mm thick class I timber boarding. (if required) 1 m Rate Only Timber Members for Roof Structure All Timber members shall be well seasoned, treated, approved and all exposed surfaces well planned in imported Balaw or equivalent hard wood timber. Note Rate shall include for application of two coat wood preservative for all surfaces by paint sprayer. Note New Timber Members 2B/07 Repairing of roof structure with 50mm x 150mm (2”x6”) ridge plate instead of removed damaged timber ridge plate. 1 m Rate Only Bill No. 01 Renovation of Roof at CSC Building Boralesgamuwa 4 Item No Description of Work Qty Unit Rate Amount 2B/08 Repairing of roof structure with 75mm x 100mm (3”x4”) wall plate/ struts instead of removed damaged timber wall plate/ struts. 1 m Rate Only 2B/09 Repairing of roof structure with 50mm x 150mm (2”x6”) valley/ hip rafter instead of removed damaged timber valley/ hip rafter. 1 m Rate Only 2B/10 Repairing of roof structure with 125mm x 50mm (5”x2”) or 125mm x 75mm (5"x3") purling instead of removed damaged timber purling. 1 m Rate Only 2B/11 Repairing of roof structure with 150mm x 100mm (6"x4") timber beams instead of removed damaged timber beams. 1 m Rate Only 2B/12 Repairing of roof structure with 200mm x 100mm (8"x4") timber beams instead of removed damaged timber beams. 1 m Rate Only 2B/13 Repairing of roof structure with 50mm x 100mm (2”x4”) rafters instead of removed damaged timber rafters. 1 m Rate Only 2B/14 Repairing of roof structure with 50mm x 25mm (2”x4”) reepers instead of removed damaged timber reepers. 1 m Rate Only Re-Fixing of Removed Timber Members 2B/15 Fixing of existing removed re-usable 50mm x 150mm (2”x6”) ridge plate. 1 m Rate Only 2B/16 Fixing of existing removed re-usable 75mm x 100mm (3”x4”) wall plate/ struts. 1 m Rate Only 2B/17 Fixing of existing removed re-usable 50mm x 150mm (2”x6”) valley/ hip rafter. 1 m Rate Only 2B/18 Fixing of existing removed re-usable 125mm x 50mm (5”x2”) or 125mm x 75mm (5"x3") purling. 1 m Rate Only 2B/19 Fixing of existing removed re-usable 150mm x 100mm (6"x4") timber beams. 1 m Rate Only 2B/20 Fixing of existing removed re-usable 200mm x 100mm (8"x4") timber beams. 1 m Rate Only 2B/21 Fixing of existing removed re-usable 50mm x 100mm (2”x4”) rafters. 1 m Rate Only 2B/22 Fixing of existing removed re-usable 50mm x 25mm (2”x4”) reepers. 1 m Rate Only Amount carried to summary Rs Bill No. 01 Renovation of Roof at CSC Building Boralesgamuwa 5 Item No 2C/- METAL WORK Rate shall include for machine drilled, bolt holes, bolts, nuts and washers,cleats,shoe and gusset plates and all other connections and all structural steel should be of Grade 43 to BS 4360. All welding consumable should comply to BS 5135. All bolts and nuts should comply with BS 4190 or BS 3693 and washers should comply to BS 4320. All shoe plates and base plates should be 10mm TK MS plates unless otherwise specified. All welds should be 6mm TK fillet weld unless otherwise specified.
