• Description:
• RFQ/CET/2306/32 - Procurement of 50 Nos of Drip Irrigation System for vegetable Crops. The persistent climate crisis has long threatened Sri Lankas food systems as climate shocks, and changes in weather patterns affect domestic agriculture significantly. Severe droughts, heavy rains, landslides, and floods have impacted many families, farmers, and consumers regarding food availability, accessibility, utilization, and stability. Under the financial assistance of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), The Climate Resilient Integrated Water Management Project (CRIWMP) of UNDP, and the Ministry of Irrigation presently working in 7 Dry Zone districts in Sri Lanka (Kurunegala, Puttalam, Vavuniya, Mannar, Trincomalee, Anuradhapura, and Polonnaruwa) to increase access to water and improve agricultural productivity. CRIWMP works directly with more than 0.7 million food security-affected farmers in these districts.
