• Tenders are invited for Supply and Handing over of Base Plates and Rail Shims for Sri Lanka Railway. To purchase the Bidding Documents, eligible Bidders should: • Write to address above requesting for the bidding documents for the Contract Package No. REIP/ADB/ICB/G/14 • Pay a non-refundable fee of Sri Lankan Rupees (SLR) 3500.00 or equivalent amount of USD (including VAT) or by cash or bank draft in favour of the “Secretary of Ministry of Transport, Railway Efficiency Improvement Project, Bank of Ceylon Account Number 0007040317, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka” in respect of the Bidding Document. The Bidding Documents will be issued during normal working days from 9:00 hours to 15:00 hours at the address under 5 above until the bid submission deadline. Deliver bids: • to the address below: Project Director Project Management Unit Colombo Suburban Railway Project (CSRP)/ Railway Efficiency Improvement Project, No 217, Cotta Road Colombo 08, Sri Lanka • on or before the deadline: 12 January 2024, 14:00 hours (local time) • Together with a Bid Security in the amount as described in the Bidding Document. For the purpose of determining the equivalent amount of the required Bid Security in a freely convertible currency, the selling exchange rate published by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka prevailing on the date 28 days prior to the deadline for Bid submission shall be applied. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline for bid submission in the presence of Bidders- representatives who choose to attend. 8. A pre-bid meeting is arranged on 18 December 2023 at 10:00 hours at the Project Management Unit, Colombo Suburban Railway Project (CSRP)/ Railway Efficiency Improvement Project, No 217, Cotta Road Colombo 08 Sri Lanka and interested Bidders may attend the prebid meeting at their own expenses. 9. The Bidder shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of its Bids, and the Employer shall not be responsible or liable for those costs, regardless of the conduct or outcome of the bidding process.
