Quotations are invited under National Competitive Bidding Procedure for the supply of Food Materials required under following categories from 1 to 11 for the food requirements of the Hostel, Events, Sports Competitions and all other Food Requirements of the Department of Sports Development. No. 09. Philip Gunawardana Mawatha, Colombo 07 To be eligible for award of this contract, the successful bidders should not have been blacklisted and should have a valid registration under either Business Registration Ordinance or under the Companies Act regarding Manufacture / Supply of Food and Non Food Materials. Further, there should be experience of two (02) years in the supply of food and non food materials and copies of documentary proof to that effect should be submitted with the bid and should be able to transport and supply the food materials to the Kitchen of the Hostel at Reid Avenue, Foundation Mawatha, Colombo 07 within 12 hours of placing the order. Bidders may submit quotations for all above categories or only to any selected categories. Quotations should be submitted for all items included in the category or categories for which quotations are submitted. Relevant procurement documents may be obtained between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. on working days from 04.07.2024 until 24.07.2024 from the Procurement Division on submission of the receipt obtained upon payment of a non refundable fee of Rs. 5,000.00 from the Shroff of the Accounts Division of the Department of Sports Development, Second Floor of the Ministry of Sports. All bidders should submit a bid security to the value mentioned in the table below obtained in favour of Director General, Department of Sports Development from any commercial bank approved by the Central Bank with the bid. (Government and Semi-Government institutions need not submit a Bid Security). This bid security should be valid until 18.10.2024. When the price approved by the Procurement Committee has increased or decreased by 10% in the market, may arrive at an agreement regarding increasing / decreasing the prices every three (03) months based on the market price on the approval of Procurement Committee on the recommendation of the Technical Evaluation Committee. (Prices based on Central Bank Daily Price Index, Department of Census and Statistics Daily price Index, Colombo Consumer Price Index, Peliyagoda Fish Market and Peliyagoda Manning Market Prices, Super Market Prices). Even if the market prices escalate, all quotations submitted should be valid for 90 days from the bid opening date. (Even if there is a price revision as per No. 06 above, that bid too should be valid for 90 days from the opening date of bids.)
