• Tenders are invited for Supply of Handheld Explosive Detectors for Eastern Entrance of Proposed Defence Headquarters Complex at Akuregoda A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address: The Chairman, Project Procurement Committee (PPC), C/o, The Director, Project Management Unit, Defence Headquarters Complex Project, Akuregoda Road. Pelawatta. Battaramulla and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Sri Lankan Rupees Five Thousand (LKR 5000.00), The method of payment shall be by cash 01 bank draft in favour of Ministry of Defence. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 1000hrs 011 24th February 2022 at Defence Headquarters Complex site at Akuregoda. Pelawatta. Battaramulla. Duly completed Bids shall be delivered to: The Chairman, Project Procurement Committee (PPC), Ministry of Defence, C'/o. The Director, Project Management Unit, Defence Headquarters Complex Project, Akuregoda Road. Pelawatta. Battaramulla at or beforelOOO hrs 01123rd March 2022. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after closing in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person at Defence Headquarters Complex Project. Bids shall be valid up to 21 June 2022 (91 days after the date of bid opening) All bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Security of LKR 420,000.00 obtained from a commercial bank operating in Sri Lanka approved by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. This Bid Security shall be in the form of an unconditional, 011 demand guarantee and shall be valid until 119 days (19th July 2022) after the deadline for Bid submission. Bidders are strongly advised to present the registration certificate under the Public Contracts Act No.3 of 1987 (when relevant), before purchasing the Bidding Document from Ministry of Defence.
